Gandhinagar: Man going for Covid test killed in accident | Ahmedabad News – Times of India

AHMEDABAD: A 21-year-old man, who was preparing for competitive exam, died on Wednesday after he was hit by an unidentified vehicle at Sector-7 in Gandhinagar when he was going for the Covid-19 testing on a scooter. He was having flulike symptoms for couple of days.
Deceased Nikul Prajpati, a resident of Sector 2/C in Gandhinagar, was staying at a PG with his friends and hailed from Isarwa village in Kankrej taluka of Banaskantha district.
According to his cousin, Anil Prajapati, who stays in Gulab Tower in Vastrapur, Nikul took his friend’s scooter to go for testing and moved towards a testing centre. At that time, an unidentified vehicle hit him near a lane between Sector-7 and Sector-8.
People rushed Nikul to Civil Hospital in Gandhinagar in an ambulance but he was declared brought dead.
Sector-7 police of Gandhinagar registered a complaint of negligent driving causing death against an unidentified vehicle driver.
