Madhya Pradesh: After 100% results, teaching in class 11 to be a tough task | Bhopal News – Times of India

BHOPAL: After 100% results were declared for class 10 this year, teachers are now worried about the students who did not study properly and got promoted in class 11. Teachers fear that the class 11 results of failures will be high as several students did not study properly in their previous class and got promoted to the next class.
Teachers said that after school reopening, they have to face a lot of challenges.
“I do not know how schools will accommodate students in classes as the number of pass students have increased by 33%. Every year MP board class 10 results stand around 60% to 65%,” said a school teacher Ashok Sisodiya.
Teachers added that the biggest challenge in front of them is how to teach students who did not deserve to be promoted in the next class.
“Obviously, the number of failures in class 11 this year will be increased exponentially as they did not study their previous class properly. Promotion in primary and middle class is fine. But it is a tough task to teach students in class 11 when they did not deserve to even clear class 10,” reacted a teacher without quoting his name.
Teachers also say that the students are low in confidence to attend classes after being promoted to class 11. “I have been getting several queries daily about what subject I should choose after being promoted. They have got the pass result but still they are not finding it worth sitting in the next class,” disclosed a teacher without quoting his name.
Even students are also worried after being promoted. “I do not know what subject I should choose after completing class 10. I was thinking of repeating the class but got the opportunity after being promoted. I will talk to my friends to suggest the subject I can choose for class 11,” said a student without quoting his name.
State government has given the option for the students to appear in the exams if they are not happy with their results. Students said that those students will never appear in the exam because they knew that it was not possible for them to clear the class 10 exam.
