Night Curfew Hours Extended In Noida, Lucknow; UP Board Exams Deferred

The Uttar Pradesh government on Thursday announced new restrictions amid an alarming rise in coronavirus cases, extending night curfew hours in districts seeing a surge in cases and extention of closure of schools till May 15.

At the meeting chaired by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, a decision was also taken to extend state board exams after May 20.

Night curfew hours have been extended in state capital Lucknow, Prayagraj, Noida, Kanpur, Varanasi, Meerut and Ghaziabad from 8 pm till 7 am, according to the new order. All these districts have been witnessing a worrying surge in Covid cases.
