Uttar Pradesh: Prayagraj teacher bags Van Mahotsav award | Allahabad News – Times of India

PRAYAGRAJ: Dharam Suta Navin, a teacher at Kendriya Vidhyalaya (KVS) in old cantt, Prayagraj bags Van Mahotsav award in the category of ‘My City Green City’ (Photo) competition by the state forest department on Wednesday.
The award was given by state forest minister Dara Singh in a function held at Lucknow on Wednesday.
Navin told TOI that online entries were sought by the forest department on Van Mahotsav theme on various categories including ‘My City Green City’ (Photo contest), ‘Mera Ped’ (tree) ‘Mera Sathi’ (Video contest), essay on biodiversity in India, poster and slogan competition and plantation on June 5 contest during the second wave covid lockdown period .
She further added, “We had sent photographs and video under My city green city (Photo contest) and Mera Tree Mera Sathi ( videocontest). We received a call from the forest department on Tuesday where the caller informed that her photograph was given first prize in the category of my city green city”.
Navin had captured greenery photos and videos spreading around in and around her house and sent it to two different categories.
Dharam Suta Navin along with her daughter Navpunya Navin ( a student of class IVth at a city based school) received the award at state capital on Wednesday.
